Tailgate Party Week Two: The Swell Season...

You may have heard of this group, or these songs from the INCREDIBLE movie "Once." Let me start by saying if you haven't seen this movie, and music is your passion, you must leave this blog right now and go rent it. AMAZING. This film really focuses on the struggles of a singer/songwriter...it is a beautiful story.


The Swell Season consists of Glen Hansard of the Irish band, The Frames and Marketa Irglova, out of Czech, who met up with Glen when The Frames were playing a gig there. Together, armed with a guitar and piano, they create a plethora of heart wrenching melodies, which have truly captured my attention.

I hope that if this is your first experience with The Swell Season...that you will enjoy your stay.

It's no secret how much I LOVE music. I seek it out all the time...

New artists...
Old artists that I've never heard of...
Music that SPEAKS to me in some way...on some level.



So I've been asked by a number of friends to start sharing it when I find someone I kinda dig. So I thought I would start a blog. Weekly...Bi-Weekly...Probably weekly at first because I have found a bunch of artists lately that have really rocked my world. SOOOOOOooooo.
